Image
Hello everyone I just want to let you guys know that I've been nominated for the SUNSHINE BLOGGER AWARD! I'm over the moon to be nominated by Tamika King (My Boutique Therapy) and I hope you share my joy today too! It's quite a shock for me especially since October is my first month blogging! So, as a nominee I have to share with you the rules: ·          Thank the blogger that nominated you. ·          Answer 11 questions -given by the person who nominated you. ·          Create 11 questions of your own you want your own nominees to answer ·          Nominate and notify 11 new nominees of your choice. 1.How would you describe your fashion sense? I'd say my fashion sense is a mix of casual and sophisticated most of the time because I tend to wear a nice blouse with jeans. I'll let you in a secret too. ...

No Sugar November

Image
Hello everyone and for today’s post I’ll be talking to you about how I’ll be going sugar free for November and why you should too! Everyone loves a bit of sugar, right? The thing is, what we consider healthy is actually a misconception… The daily recommended intake of sugar is 9.5 teaspoons BUT! The average adult gobbles 22 teaspoons a day. Can you even imagine how unhealthy that must be? Of course, you do! It’s just easier to ignore the fact that sugar is a drug. You know in some cases sugar has been found to be just as addictive as cocaine! It’s not really our fault. Sugar is in pretty much everything from fizzy drinks to ketchup. For starter’s one fizzy drink usually contains at least 10 teaspoons of sugar! Around 80% of packaged foods contain sweeteners just to make you like it that little bit more. The sad thing is foods with high sugar intakes or sweeteners are usually cheaper. So, it really is sad because poorer people are not only poor but also at larger risks ...

My Makeup Must Haves for Travelling!

Image
Hello everyone! For today’s post I’m going to be showing you my travel makeup must haves and the reasons I have them! So, first of all I have two mini primers ( radiance primer by Laura Mercier and the Porefessional by Benefit) . These primers are really good because they make my face smoother for applying foundation. For foundation I have the Maybelline Super stay one and I find it’s a really good foundation because it’s full coverage but not too heavy on the skin. Only problem is the lightest shade is too dark for my skin tone but that is not uncommon. I mostly use real techniques for brushes and the sponge to blend my foundation, highlight and eyeshadow. These brushes are cheap and really durable – I definitely recommend you buy these they are a 10/10! Does blush ever make you look clownish? Never fear! The Jordana touch of pink powder blush is here! I love this blush because it’s cheap and lasts forever. BUT, more importantly is not too pink so I don’t look l...

10 Things I am Grateful for!

Image
Hello everyone! For today's post I'll be talking to you about the top 10 things in life I am most grateful for, I hope this post encourages you to be grateful for what you have in your life. 1.  Friends and Family I am so grateful I have these guys around even if they annoy me at times. Friends and Family are always there for you no matter what and will be with you from the cradle to the grave. Love really can conquer all. 2. Education Without my education I somehow imagine life would be very lack luster and I'd probably be ignorant of new opinions and places because I would never now of anything but home and I am fortunate enough to get all this knowledge for free! 3.  Books I love reading books, collecting books for my bookshelf and just looking at them. Books can help you pass the time while travelling or waiting for something and provide a new perspective on the world or even transport you into another world. 4.  Bonfires Is it me or bonfires just ...

October Book Haul!

Image
Hello everyone! For today’s post I’ll be going through my book haul I bought when I was away on holiday. I am going to add these new books of mine to my new bookcase once it’s finished being built. Anyway, I went to Waterstones and bought 4 new books, which is really exciting for me! Who else loves Waterstones? I know I do, it’s got an amazing atmosphere! So, I got the book Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. (I’ve already read the entire series on kindle and I thought they were superbly written!). And so, I thought that the series would be a lovely addition to my new bookcase. However, I couldn’t find the other books in the series, but I guess I can always buy them online. Then, I got the Shadow and Bone as well as Six of Crows both written by Leigh Bardugo and both within the Grishaverse . I’ve heard that the Six of Crows is an amazing book so I’m really looking forward to reading both of the books. The last book I bought from Waterstones was the Royal Assasin by Robin...

Letter to my viewers

Image
Hello everyone. Today’s post is the finale of my letter series talking about myself – my goals and dreams. But. Today I want to address the elephant in the room (and that’s you!). So, I want to let you guys know how amazing you all are and how inspiring you have all been. I never thought that blogging would be such an exciting experience, I never believed I’d be excited to read other people’s blog posts or read my viewer’s comments. It’s scary. It really is. But, you know what I’m loving it! I’d first of all like to thank you for being so supportive and kind to me at every step, my blog’s growing and so is my twitter. Not bad for a first month of blogging! However, I understand there’s going to be highs and lows and ya know every now and then it might get a little dull. Then I have you guys! I love the fact my viewers are supportive and not pressuring me to do anything I don’t want to do, I guess it’s true you read this blog for my content and opinions. Anyway, I’d ...

A Letter for the Future

Image
Hello! Here is part 2 out of 3 for my series of letters to myself and tomorrow’s post will be to you. My audience! I hope you enjoy today’s post. Hello future me, I have complete faith in you that you’ll be able to do something productive with your life and be able to succeed. But today, I only wish you to be happy and free from pressure. Pressure really does not suit you, the mind goes all frazzled and that makes you break down. SO, I hope in my future I’ll still be blogging (of course) and that you’ll have gone to University or out on the mainland for at least a little while. At the moment, I was thinking about taking a few weeks next year to Singapore – seems like a really interesting place. Hopefully, you’ll have seen more of the world and have more of a voice in things going on. Whether it’s what fizzy drink to get or whether it’s what your voice is on the political issues of the time or even climate change! I hope in the future my confidence will be built u...
