Glossybox October REVEAL

Hello everyone, today I’ll be unboxing my October Glossy box to you all and I hope you enjoy it! For Glossy box's October special we have been given 4 full sized items to help us 'nail a chic and sultry take on Halloween'. This is great but it's gets better because this box is completely CRUELTY FREE!

Cruelty Free items are becoming so much more widespread. For example, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Lush and the Bodyshop are all cruelty free.

First of all, the box is a lovely purple with a vampire mouth with black droplets of blood. I'm digging the look! The box has an amazing aesthetic appeal to me. Inside we have the paper tissue with the classic sticker seal but in a black and purple mix. So, the theme of the box has black, purple, and white running through the entire box. Did I mention the stuffing is purple??

Inside we have five products!

I'm most excited to try out the MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Set and Reflect Finishing Kit! This is because the highlighter is snazzy and this kit looks great for travelling.

“This vegan friendly and cruelty free 2 in 1 compact is the perfect wat to mattify your t-zone and top up your glow on the go.” It’s usually £5 which is good because if I ever intend to repurchase it means it’s not way too expensive! And, by the looks of things the compact will last me a millennia.

Another exciting item is: The Luna Translucent Powder, it looks gorgeous and for me I love translucent powders because they keep me looking matte 24/7. But… I’m not the most eloquent with loose powder and end up messing my beauty desk with it (Ooops!) and it’s £17 but it’s not that bad a price in reality if it’s a good product.

We then have the Sleek eyeshadow palette – Oh So Special! One thing that is odd, is the page you get given with the box portrays the eyeshadow palette as much darker than it is in real life. I’m not that mad actually because the real-life colours are easier to wear than the dark colours in the photo. I love sleek makeup ! My favourite liquid lipstick is from them (matte me up) and I’ve not heard any bad reviews about sleek to be honest. Hopefully, I’ll embrace my wild side and delve deeper into eyeshadow, I buy loads of it, but I just find it hard to wear to school!

PRICEY! This Works in Transit Camera Close-up is £17 for the Deluxe Mini we are given which is 20ml (£35 for 40ml).  Anyway, we’ll try it out and live up the luxury! Off the bat, I am very unlikely to buy this because I don't have much money to spend this on one product. At the end of the day I don't have a billion dollar salary and I have to think about saving up to leave school and leave home.

Finally, we have the Illamasqua Animatter Lipstick in Nebula . This is a full-sized version which usually costs £20. I can’t lie here I’m kind of sad it’s such a neonish colour. As I stated earlier, I can barely feel confident wearing eyeshadow to places like school never mind a like neon! It’s not the best shade for me either even though it claims to suit all skin tones. I’m a very pale person who people actually ask me if I’m sick on a daily basis. So, imagine how frightening it would be seeing me in bright pink. SO, instead I’m going to gift this to someone who will actually enjoy it and put it to good use!

In the end, I’m very happy with October’s box! Why? Because majority of the stuff I like already and I’m looking forward to using them. Is this not the whole point of glossy box? Yaas! I understand glossy box has to try to cater to all sorts of people in only one box so I’m glad that I like so much of it. Compared to previous monthly subscriptions I’ve got glossy box is by far the best one yet!
