Body Shop Favourites from a Skincare Junkie!

Hello everyone! Today I will be telling you all about my favourite body shop purchases, I am absolutely obsessed with the Body Shop and are definitely my favourite skincare brand of all time because their products don’t just do the job they actually improve my skin and motivate me more to go about my life
But…. Before we go into my faves I thought I should share with you why the Body Shop is not only good at selling products but also ethically correct. You may have noticed the Body Shop this year has been campaigning against animal testing online (Instagram, Twitter and their personal website, etc.) but also within their shops and even at events. So, the Body Shop went around collecting petitions both online and in the real world to try and get a word wide ban on animal testing.
"First, we take our petition to the UN with lots of our animal-loving friends. We’ll then talk to as many decision-makers at the UN as we can. We want to win their support and work with them to create an international agreement to end animal testing in cosmetics across the globe. Finally, we lobby and campaign in different countries to ensure that this law is adopted and enforced everywhere.” – The Body Shop website.
As far as I’m aware the Body Shop has not actually met with the UN yet, but I certainly support their campaign and wish them the best!

1.   Seaweed Oil Balancing Toner (£8)
The idea what I got from the packaging for this product is that it stops you looking and feeling like the grease out of a chip shop. And, to be perfectly honest this is a big problem for me I’m not sure if its me being a typical teen or just my genetic makeup but anyway I don’t quite like the MO of oily skin. When I got this product I immediately loved it and consider it the best of the best product I’ve ever got from the body shop! I think the range is really good for my skin (although technically I am a combination skin type.) The Seaweed Toner made me feel satisfied and more put together which led to me going about my day with more confidence and flair and overall increased my productivity. Because I like if I feel good then I look good! In fact, my friends and family both noticed a difference in skin and thought it looked like it had a natural shine within and was less greasy. For now though, I am trying out the Tea Tree Toner which is also good but I still feel the Seaweed Toner is the best.

2.   Coconut Nourishing Body Butter (£15 for 200ml)

You may be aware of how highly rated the body shop body butters are and at first, I thought meh they are just overrated. However, I got this apart of a set of coconut scented items and I have to say my expectations were blown! Previously all the body butters I had tried from other places always felt as if I was dripping in moisturiser – which isn’t really that nice at all. I found that this body butter’s scent actually lasted but at the same time was not too over powering (most of the time I really hate coconut scents) and the butter was not too liquid and was thicker mixture (almost grainy but in a good way) making it not feel as if I was dripping with moisturiser. I probably prefer other scents more, but at the moment I'm trying the British Rose body butter to see if I can find a better scent than the coconut.

3.   Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wipes (£6)

At first, I was sceptical of these wipes, I thought that they were really expensive. I mean you can get ones at Superdrug for like 99p. And yet, somehow, they called to and I bought them anyway! I found that the price range was for the quality rather than it being extremely over priced as these wipes kept their moisture and tea tree oiliness in their wipes even if they were exposed to the harshness of my room temperature atmosphere, each wipe was also not paper thin like the 99p ones so the Body Shop definitely put a lot of effort into this. I actually haven’t rebought these because I always forget to go onto the website for just makeup wipes and I live in a rural area which means there are no body shops in my vicinityIn conclusion I find the Body Shop has not only lovely easy shop layout but also a simple but effective website for me to use. I truly hope you’ve enjoyed reading my post and if you want me to talk about a Body shop haul or another skincare brand let me know in the comments or on my twitter @ElectricallyE (ElectricallyEffective in full)

Thanks! enjoy the rest of your day! ❤💗
